“All you need is love,” The Beatles sang. But what exactly is love? Artist Andrew Hou, who lives in Seoul, South Korea, has spent over 5 years trying to explain this feeling to his wife by drawing.
According to Andrew, the HJ-story (which is named after his wife’s Korean name initials) began as drawings sent to his significant one via SMS, as he felt that it was easier to express feelings visually than verbally. At first it was meant to be just a personal blog but, thanks to one of the artist’s friends, the word spread out and Andrew has gained many followers since.
Adorable illustrations feature Andrew and his wife Kate’s little but hearty everyday moments that add up to the beauty of being in a relationship and having butterflies flying in your stomach, no matter how much time has passed. After all, it’s the small things that truly matter!
