A University of Massachusetts student attending a free speech event experienced a meltdown when conservative speaker Milo Yiannopoulos told the audience that he believes feminism is a “cancer.” The exchange occurred at an event aimed at discussing political correctness and how it relates to campus life. The young woman was captured on camera repeatedly yelling “rape apologist” and “f*ck you” at the conservative journalist.
Yiannopoulos is the technology editor for Breitbart.com, a conservative news and opinion website based in the US, and positions himself as a radical anti-feminist. The less that’s said about Yiannopoulos the better, but let’s just bear in mind that this is a guy who believes rape culture is a myth and the gender pay gap doesn’t exist.
The incident occurred when the female protester interrupted the event over a comment Yiannopoulos made about feminism. Instead of retracting his incendiary remark, Yiannopoulos refused to back down, saying that he viewed the ideology as a “cancer” on society.
