Suicide Squad is one of the most hotly anticipated films of 2016 and the new trailer is taking our excitement levels to the next level. Warner Bros released the trailer at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday. The film is set for release on August 3, with fans of DC Comics counting down the days until they can watch Margot Robbie in all her pigtailed glory.
The film is set to feature acting veterans Will Smith, Jared Leto and Viola Davis, alongside relative newcomers Margot Robbie and Cara Delevingne. The film marks the first big break for supermodel and aspiring actress Cara Delevingne. I’m sure we’ll all be paying attention to how well she tackles the part of Enchantress.
Jared Leto had big shoes to fill after the late great Heath Ledger played the Joker – who also features in Suicide Squad – back in 2008’s The Dark Knight. A lot of hardcore fans had expressed concerns that Leto couldn’t live up to the role but after seeing this trailer, I’m sure a lot of the haters have been silenced.
