What would life be if we didn’t have small things to amuse us throughout the day? Someone once said, “laughter is the best medicine” and I wholeheartedly agree. This is why I am a big fan of websites, blogs and social media that produce funny memes, videos and content.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last few years, you know who Sammy Griner (aka “success kid”) is. He’s the little boy whose picture you pull up when you’ve achieved something awesome and you want to brag about it. Add a little text to the image and you’ve got yourself a hilarious way of telling the world your good news. Except little Sammy isn’t quite so little anymore…
The image that we’ve all come to know and love was taken in 2007, when Sammy was 11 months old. He can be seen clenching his fist and sporting a pretty brilliant facial expression. His mum, Lainey, uploaded the picture to Imgur shortly after it was taken and the rest is history. CNN has even declared Sammy one of the most famous babies on the internet.
