Of all the hand driers in the world, jet driers are the biggest and the best. They’re marketed as the most hygienic of all driers and leave your hands dry as a bone in under ten seconds. But there’s a new study out that looks set to change the germ-avoiding game – and it’s going to send you running for the paper towels.
The study was published earlier this year in the Journal of Applied Microbiology. The research compared the virus dispersal of three different hand-washing methods: paper towels, conventional “warm air” dryers and “jet dryers” such as the Dyson Airblade.
