If you’re anything like me, cotton buds are a crucial part of your morning routine. After I hop out of the shower I’m compelled to give my ears a quick clean – it’s normal and natural right? Well it seems that using cotton buds (or Q-Tips as they are otherwise known) isn’t actually as safe as you’d first think.
Graphic footage has emerged of a doctor removing an old cotton bud from a patient’s ear, after the patient unwittingly left it in. Scary stuff right? It was only after experiencing pains and complaining of a blocked ear that the man visited his doctor to get to the bottom of the issue.
