Emma Watson Has Been Named In The Controversial Panama Papers

When David Cameron got named in the Panama Papers, nobody was surprised. However when I heard Emma Watson’s name was connected with the controversial document, I was more than a little perturbed. Watson is currently taking a break from acting to focus on her important work as a United Nations goodwill ambassador and women’s rights campaigner – so offshore tax havens aren’t a great thing for her to be linked with.

An actress with a very clean and traditional image, I can only imagine that her PR department are losing their collective minds at the moment. The Panama Papers have suggested that Watson used an offshore company based in a tax haven.

The Spectator revealed that Watson had been named, stating: “The Offshore Leaks Database says that ‘Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson’ is a beneficiary in an offshore company based in the British Virgin Islands.

Flick over to the next page to see what reason Emma’s people gave for her having an offshore company. Will it make you trust her again? Who knows, but it’s certainly worth a read.
