The right to protest is an integral tool that society use to help us maintain some sort of influence in the most upsetting of situations. It doesn’t mean that we need to be violent or even use words, we can use other symbolic means to make ourselves heard. Protesting often requires courage even when you are part of a large group. Protesting on your own for what you believe in requires a whole lot more.

Enter Tess Asplund. The 42-year-old caused quite a viral frenzy after she decided to take a stand during a neo-Nazi march in Sweden.
