I feel like I haven’t written about deposed MMA champion Ronda Rousey in ages… so here goes nothing. The former darling of the UFC world came unstuck a few months ago against challenger Holly Holm – and seems to have dropped off the face of the fighting world since. However, she’s due back in the octagon fairly soon, against a pretty mouthy competitor.
After it was confirmed that the UFC is heading to New York for the first time, fighters have started staking their claim in a bid to get on the card for UFC 205. With MMA only legalised in the state recently, the fight night on 12th November is set to be one of the biggest on record.
As you would expect, plenty of fighters are keen to steal the New York show, but none more so than Cris “Cyborg” Justino.
