“I got love for you if you were born in the 80s, the 80s”. If you don’t know what song I am quoting, it’s Calvin Harris – Acceptable in the 80s. Anyway, let me tell you – I’m an 80s girl and I pretty much couldn’t be prouder of the fact. Before the invention of smartphones and all that other nonsense, I was brought up to play outside with friends because, simply put, all the cool gadgets we see today weren’t around back then.
Admittedly, SEGA was a thing of the 80s but being the younger sibling, I was usually a mere spectator while my older brother played the awesome games with his friends. But with time and the advancement of technology, we now have new kinds of portals such as PSP and XBOX. Have we forgotten about beloved SEGA though? Not at all.
Leading up until now, SEGA have been asking their users what their favourite game was from back in the day. Little did the users know, they were in for a big and very happy surprise. Turns out, they’ve been preparing a re-release of 40 classic video games from the good ol’ 80s and 90s. They’re calling it the SEGA Mega Drive Classics Hub and promise to deliver “spot-on emulation, local co-op for games which support it, optional graphic enhancement filters, the ability to save at any point in the gameplay, as well as full controller / keyboard support.”
