“Who got Lucilled?” These are the words that have been on everybody’s lips since the season six finale of AMC’s The Walking Dead last Sunday, after fans were finally introduced to the notorious Negan. After emerging as the leader of the Saviours, Negan told Rick and his fellow Alexandria survivors that they were residents of his “Pee Pee Pants City” and that they were now working for him. It. Was. Amazing.
However, after revealing that he was going to bludgeon one of Rick’s gang to death with a barbed-wire-covered baseball bat, Negan simply couldn’t decide on who his victim would be. Therefore, he played the most twisted game of eeny, meeny, miny, moe in history, in order to select his victim. The camera then switched to his point of view, meaning we couldn’t see who the unfortunate victim was.
After delivering some cringing blows to the unknown character’s skull, their ears started ringing and blood was pouring down their face. As screams and cries from the remaining survivors are heard, the screen fades to black, as Negan’s victim succumbs to the brutality of their punishment. So, was it Rick, Maggie, Michonne, Carl, Daryl, Glenn, Rosita, Aaron, Abraham or Eugene? Unbelievably, fans will have to wait an agonising seven months to find out.
Or will they?
