In news that will shock genuine hip hop fans to their very core, it seems that more men have come out to accuse DJ Afrika Bambaataa of historic cases of sexual assault. A man who has spread hip hop culture throughout the world, Bambaataa (real name Kevin Donovan) is now under intense pressure as more and more alleged victims come forward in the American media.
Speaking in a very candid interview with the NY Daily News, one of these men, Hassan Campbell, claims that he regularly spent time at Bambaataa’s apartment, receiving food, shelter and even money when he went to jail. Despite admitting the lifestyle was fun at times, Campbell revealed a seedier side to the whole setup.
“He had the most fun house in the world. There were celebrities there, musicians, neighborhood heroes. It was the best place to be – and the worst place to be.
“He is a pervert. He likes little boys.”
