Any child of the 90s will remember the lycra-filled, testosterone-fuelled, vaguely homoerotic brilliance that was the TV show Gladiators. Hosted by the one and only Ulrika Jonsson, the show pitted the Gladiators against ordinary members of the public in a bid to win the glory of ultimate champion.
It’s been more than 20 years since everyone’s favourite Gladiator Hunter first appeared on the show at the ripe age of 19, and if you were expecting him to have turned into a washed up flabby shell of his former self by now, how very wrong you are. It turns out that Hunter, whose real name is James Crossley, is still looking just as ripped as the day he stepped foot into the arena all those years ago.
Of course, Hunter wasn’t just any Gladiator, he was the Gladiator. In 1999, Hunter proved he was the best of the best by winning The Ultimate Gladiator title from his fellow competitor Ace.
Hunter is now a personal trainer and runs the popular Chelsea Fitness in London. He’s trained everyone from rugby players to pop stars, so you can bet he knows a thing or two about getting hench. Hop over to the next page to see some up-to-date photos of Hunter in all his rippling glory.
