Not all heroes wear capes. This one wears a turban: here is a heart warming act of kindness where a Sikh man uses his Dastaar (headgear associated with Sikhism) to rescue a drowning dog.
Sarwan Singh, a devout Sikh, was out driving with friends in India when he saw a crowd of people gathered at a the edge of a canal. He edged closer, only to see a poor dog struggling to swim. Shocked that nobody was doing anything to help the distressed animal, he took it upon himself to become an emergency lifeguard.
As part of the Sikh religious customs, the removal of the turban is only allowed at home and during bathing – but with no other options Singh took matters into his own hands. Click onto the next page to watch a video of how it all unravelled!
