In our modern age of social media and wifi hotspot hunting, we’re all guilty of looking at our phones a little more than is strictly necessary. Our smartphone paranoia means we’re constantly checking to see if that person we’re dating has replied, or scrolling through Instagram to keep up to date with the latest Kardashian klan katastrophe.
But could you guess exactly how many times a day we unlock our iPhones? The answer is probably “more than you’d like to admit”, especially if you’re the kind of person who likes to read yourself an Instagram, Twitter and Facebook bedtime story every night before you go to sleep.
According to analyst Ben Bajarin, the statistics for exactly how many times a day we unlock our precious iPhones were revealed at a security meeting at Apple HQ recently, as part of a bid to explain how much time using the Touch ID saves.
