All the talk in the UFC world yesterday was that Irishman Conor McGregor was about to walk away from the game for good. Losing to Nate Diaz at UFC 196 was tough to take for McGregor and it seemed like he may take his last pay packet and wander off into the sunset in search of pastures new.
With fanatical fans sat on the edge of their seats waiting for an announcement on McGregor’s future, I’m happy to announce that there is good news! In a bullish Facebook status today, McGregor has revealed that he is far from done in the UFC. Blasting the franchise, the Irish fighter claimed that he was paid to fight and not promote.
Claiming that he had, “become lost in the game of promotion and forgot about the art of fighting,” it seems that McGregor is sending out a massive signal to all his critics. Flick over to the next page to see McGregor’s statement in full – and all the people he takes swipes at within it.
