Taking a flight is a complicated process. There’s the miles of security you have to pass through, the hours of waiting in the departure lounge and yet more waiting once you actually board the plane. So after all that effort, the last thing you’d expect is that the pilot would happily turn the plane around at your beck and call.
While it sounds completely unbelievable considering the amount of protocol that’s in place to get a flight in the air, that’s exactly what happened to one couple from the UK when they boarded a long-haul Ethiad Airways flight.
The couple were preparing to set off for Australia from Manchester airport in the UK, when they heard the devastating news that would change their lives forever.
