Is it just me or has there been a heck of a lot of videos and news pieces surfacing lately of people in pastoral roles taking advantage of others in their care? It’s something that baffles my mind. How could someone in such a selfless role do something so cruel? It’s a worrying thought at best.
Of course there are some teachers, nurses, doctors and other humanitarians that are doing fantastic jobs in their field – and I have a lot of respect for them. In fact, I myself spent a good fews years as a teacher. But then there are people like this that put the carer profession to shame.
An incident that took place at Fanji High School, in Mengcheng county in Anhui, China was filmed, uploaded and since gone viral. It shows an English teacher in a brutal brawl with his unruly students. It all began when a student was reluctant to hand in his test paper.
