Back in May last year Depp’s wife, Amber Heard, smuggled their dogs, Pistol and Boo, into Australia. However, the couple swiftly learned that not even Captain Jack Sparrow’s spouse is above the law.
Heard finally faced the court today and pleaded guilty to making a false statement on her immigration card. The actress has managed to escape the dog-smuggling conviction after the Queensland judge gave her a one-month good behaviour bond after breaching the country’s biosecurity laws.
If the bond is broken she will be ordered to pay $1,000 AUS, but if she decides to play by the rules then she will get off with no recorded conviction for her wrongdoings.
However, it’s not the dropping of Heard’s illegal importation charges that has got the internet talking, but rather the bizarre video of the couple that has surfaced following the court order.
