You don’t need to be a child of the 1980s to appreciate the mastery that is Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Released in 1986, the cult classic film is still on our screens all year round, with teenagers the world over wishing and praying they could step into Ferris’ shoes for just one day.
Based around a high school wise guy who is determined to have a day off from school, Ferris Bueller is who a lot of 80’s kids grew up wanting to emulate. Cool, charismatic and easygoing, Ferris (played by Matthew Broderick) was a teen idol.
