There are 40 billion potentially habitable planets in the Milky Way alone, 11 billion of which are orbiting sun-like stars. So when you think about it, the question shouldn’t really be do aliens exist, but where the bloody hell are they?
Enrico Fermi’s famous paradox states that since there are billions of stars in the galaxy similar to the Sun, there’s a distinct possibility that some of these stars will have Earth-like planets which are capable of developing intelligent life.
So if you’ve been sitting there wondering where the aliens are at, it looks like it might be our own government that’s stopping us from seeing what we so badly want to see.
