Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s impending divorce over domestic abuse allegations could leave someone facing jail time. With both sides denying any wrongdoing, and strenuously extolling the guilt of the opposition, this marriage is crumbling quicker than the base of a cheesecake.
Depp released a statement after Heard’s allegations came to light, claiming that he had done nothing wrong and that the “short marriage will be resolved quickly”. Ouch.
More evidence has emerged however, and this is bad news for Johnny. Text messages reportedly exchanged between Heard and Depp’s assistant, Stephen Deuters, have emerged, and they seem to suggest that Depp is very, very guilty. Obtained by Entertainment Today, the messages claim to be from May 2014, before the couple were married (and before the incidents that Heard described in court last week).
